Washer stops in the middle of a cycle
When this happens it is usually because the washing machine is waiting for an event to happen such as the water level reaching a certain height or the temperature being heated to a certain temperature, and the equipment for this is failing. You can test certain thing such as the heater element by manually moving the cycle the empty and feeling the water temperature as it is emptied. You should also check that water is not being siphoned off as it is being filled. This can happen if the bottom of the drain pipe is too low down and is underneath the bottom of the water level.The other cause of this of course is a faulty timer.
